This one however will blow your minds, it is defiantly the most biggest, most expensive and most awesome project I have ever undertaken; and possible the most awesome project I will ever make!
Welcome to Project Exodus, a 2400 watt, Bipolar DC Resonant Charging Tesla Coil!
Wait, What?
Ok, so my first small Tesla Coil project was a small 10 pound proof of concept I made at the start of 2013. After finding the project so much fun I was hooked on high voltage and had my mind set on building a much bigger one, I made a blog about it here:
http://myteslaproject.blogspot.co.uk/
The coil was a great success! But as usual, it wasn't enough and I was left wanting more!
I started plans for Project Exodus not long after the completion of the previous coil. However, I realized that it would be ages before I actually make it as it would cost way more then any of my other projects. I had also started on some other small experiments and did not want to be doing so many things at once. So the plans were stuffed away in the corner to be seen again...
UNTIL NOW! To cut a long story short, I became acquainted with another guy around my age who loved the video of my Tesla Coil. He wanted us to both work together to build a bigger one. After much discussing, at the end of February 2014, me and 2 of my friends agreed to all chip in money to build this absolutely amazing Tesla Coil, it would be such a big project that we would need all 3 of us to pull it off.
Details
This blog will showcase all of the construction and operation of the coil. It will also provide links to my youtube channel with other videos concerning this project.
This blog however is NOT a tutorial/guide to aid others in the construction of a Tesla Coil. I do encourage people to explore science but only in a safe and controlled manner. I am not responsible for anyone who attempts to replicate any of the activity seen in this blog or any of my videos.
Watch this space, every time we make a development, I will post pictures and information on what we have accomplished. Do bear in mind that this project will take a while and so regular updates can not be guaranteed.
